PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern baseball team celebrated their seniors before the final bout with Abraham Baldwin at Bobby Walker Field. The Firehawks plated six runs in the eighth to saddle the Stallions 10-8 on Saturday.

Zach Hayes,
Jamil Betancourt,
Ridge Raper,
Cody Womble,
Brayden Buckner, and
Weston Horton were honored prior to the game. UTS improved to 14-24 overall and 6-15 in league play on the season.
UTS took the early lead striking in both the first and second innings. Buckner's double in the first scored Womble. Barnett homered to left to lift the Firehawks to a 2-0 lead.
ABAC plated five in the fourth to lead 5-2. Buckner tallied another rbi in the fifth, when his single scored Buckhalter. UTS shave the Stallion lead to 5-3 heading to the sixth.
In the sixth, both side would plate runs. For UTS,
Evan Nelson singled to left center scoring Barnett. UTS trailed 6-4 heading to the seventh.
ABAC and UT Southern both scored their last runs in the eighth. ABAC pushed their lead out to 8-4. The Firehawks scored six runs on seven hits to jump back in front. Raby doubled to right plating Buckhalter and Nelson. Womble doubled to right center scoring Raby. Buckner hit a bloop single down the right field line scoring Womble. Barnett singled to right center plating
Finn Steele.
Collin Perkins added a single to left scoring
Gage Beckner.
In the ninth, McGilberry (Sv. 1) closed the door on the Stallions allowing one walk.
Tavien Tigg got the start. Tigg tossed four innings allowing two earned runs on seven hits.
Jackson Moon and
Hunter Hancock tossed a scoreless fifth.
Cooper Bailey worked in the sixth. Womble finished the sixth and tossed the seventh. He allowed two earned runs on one hit. Raper (3-7) took the win tossing a two strikeout eighth.

The Firehawks will return action on Tuesday, April 8
th, to conclude the season series with the University of Alabama in Huntsville. First pitch is set for three p.m.
