MONTGOMERY, Ala. – After guiding UT Southern to its first SSAC Championship appearance since 2020, seniors Ashley Dickey and Silkiari Vazquez-Troche were recognized Monday as members of the 2026 SSAC Women's Basketball All-Tournament Team, presented by WinWon.

Both Firehawks were instrumental in UT Southern's run to the title game, earning their spots among the conference's top postseason performers.

Vazquez-Troche continued her standout season with a dynamic all-around showing throughout the tournament. The senior guard orchestrated the offense while impacting the game on both ends of the floor, scoring efficiently, facilitating in transition, and anchoring the Firehawks defensively. Her leadership and versatility were on full display in the semifinal victory over No. 2 seed Faulkner and again in the championship game appearance.

Dickey delivered another strong postseason performance, attacking the rim, knocking down perimeter shots, and crashing the glass. The senior guard's ability to score in key moments and defend at a high level helped propel UT Southern through the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds. Her consistency and competitive edge were critical to the Firehawks' championship push.

The All-Tournament selection marks yet another honor in a decorated season for both players, as UT Southern finished 22-6 overall and reached the conference title game for the first time in six seasons.

The Firehawks now turn their attention to the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship Selection Show on March 5, where they will learn their postseason destination.
