PULASKI, Tenn. – Tennessee Southern freshman Emory Hall has been named the Southern States Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week, the league office announced for games played March 9–15.
The honor marks the first weekly conference award of Hall's career and the third time this season a Firehawk has earned SSAC Player of the Week recognition.
Hall delivered an impressive performance at the plate during UT Southern's 3-1 week, batting .600 with a 1.000 slugging percentage. The Chapel Hill, Tenn., native totaled six hits, five runs scored, and six RBIs while recording a hit in every game during the stretch.
Her standout performance came in a victory over Freed-Hardeman, where she went a perfect 2-for-2 with a triple and four RBIs to help power the Firehawks to a decisive win.
Hall also recorded three extra-base hits on the week while continuing to be a consistent presence in the middle of the Firehawks' lineup.
With Hall's selection, Tennessee Southern has now earned multiple SSAC weekly honors this season. Mikayla McCain was recognized during week two, while Alaina Grace King and Ella Singletary swept the weekly awards in week four.
