Women's Basketball Strengthens Staff with Addition of Zeke Stockton

Stockton Brings a Winning Pedigree and a Passion for Student-Athlete Development to the Firehawks.

PULASKI, Tenn. – University of Tennessee Southern Head Women's Basketball Coach Greg Tipps has announced the addition of Zeke Stockton as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach for the Firehawks program.

Stockton joins UT Southern after gaining valuable experience at both the University of Alabama and Saint Louis University, where he worked in a variety of roles focused on player development, scouting, analytics, compliance, and program operations.

Most recently, Stockton served as a Graduate Assistant with the Saint Louis women's basketball program during the 2025-26 season after spending two years as a male practice player for the Billikens. In his graduate assistant role, he developed opponent analytics reports, tracked advanced team metrics, and provided in-game statistical support directly to the coaching staff.

Prior to Saint Louis, Stockton spent two seasons as a male practice player with the University of Alabama women's basketball program under Head Coach Kristy Curry. His responsibilities included assisting with scout team preparation and helping facilitate practice operations for the Crimson Tide.

In addition to his basketball experience, Stockton has developed a strong background in athletics administration and compliance. He served as an Athletics Compliance Extern at Saint Louis University, where he helped create scholarship and eligibility management systems and assisted with financial aid and revenue-sharing agreement language. He also completed an Athletics Risk Management and Compliance Externship at the University of Notre Dame.

Stockton earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Alabama. He is also completed a Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University School of Law, where he earned a Certificate in Organizational Leadership.

"We are excited to welcome Zeke to the Firehawk family," said Head Coach Greg Tipps. "He brings a unique combination of basketball knowledge, player development experience, and administrative expertise that will immediately benefit our program. Zeke has worked alongside successful Division I programs and has shown a tremendous commitment to helping student-athletes reach their full potential. His energy, work ethic, and passion for the game make him a great fit for UT Southern Women's Basketball."

Stockton has been part of successful programs throughout his collegiate experience, including Saint Louis University's 2024 WNIT Championship team and Alabama's 2023 NCAA Tournament squad. He has worked closely with numerous high-level student-athletes and has built a reputation for his attention to detail, leadership, and commitment to team success.

"I am incredibly thankful to Coach Tipps, Brandie Paul, and the UT Southern administration for the opportunity to be a part of such a special group," Stockton said. "UT Southern Women's Basketball has a clear commitment to excellence that I am eager to continue pursuing. I look forward to helping our young women develop as students, athletes, and leaders in our community."
