PULASKI, Tenn. (11/4) - As the MMC women's basketball improved to 2-0 in their young season, they downed Tennessee Temple University, 99-66, in their home opener in the Christian Life Center. Micah Anderson (Junior/Hohenwald, Tenn.) was the high scorer with 21 total points in a game that featured four RedHawks in double-digits, while Jessy Christopher (Sophomore/Lebanon, Tenn.) paced the offense with nine total assists in the first half alone.

"I was proud of the way the girls played in the first half tonight," said Head Coach Jamy Bechler. "They came out focused, and played the way we have practiced. They controlled the tempo, and really worked hard. Jessy really was the leader for us at the point guard position; she made us go tonight. Our girls are focused on making Martin Methodist basketball a household name."

MMC's starters opened the contest with a bang, running a 35-9 score before the half expired, eventually pushing to a 63-22 score at the break. Vee Young (Junior/Pulaski, Tenn.) put up 14 points in the affair, while Ashley Meeks (Junior/Smyrna, Tenn.) and Rachel Brown (Freshman/Jamestown, Tenn.) provided spark off the bench, scoring 16 and 15 points, respectively.
