Firehawks Drop Regular Season Finale to Phoenix

Lebanon, Tenn.- The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team ended the regular season with a 96-68 loss to Cumberland on Saturday.

FIREHAWK FACTS

  • Three Firehawks recorded 10 points or more. Kavion Hancock 22, Brady Brown 14, Tad Sivley 11.
  • UTS pulled down 30 rebounds, six less than the home squad.
  • The Firehawks would grab eight steals, three less than CU.
  • UTS would reject two shots.

   8 – Eight players scored for UTS, with four scoring eight or more.

 20 – Both teams combined for 20 assists. UTS recorded only five.

 22 – Hancock's 22 points led all scorers.

The Firehawks will be the #2 seed for the MSC tournament. They will advance to the quarterfinals in Bowling Green, Ky. They will await the winner of the #6 seed vs. #11 seed later next week.
