Box Score 2 PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern softball team swept a pair from former SSAC foe Blue Mountain today at Royce Hughes Field. UTS took game one 8-4 and cruised to their 21st win of the season after a 6-2 decision in game two.
GAME ONE
- Hayley Parrott, Sydney Self, Bree Brady, and Samantha King led the way with two hits each. Shelby Clifton added a single.
- UTS drew two free passes while striking out four times.
- The Firehawks left seven on base.
- Brady, King, and Parrott each doubled in game one
- Kamryn Murdock took the win in a complete-game performance. Murdock held the toppers to four runs on six hits. She improved to 5-4 on the year.
GAME THREE
- UTS combined for six runs on eight hits. Parrott and King each had a pair of hits. Self, Brady, Haley Barnes, and Allie Toone each had a hit.
- King blasted a three-run homer.
- Parrott and Self had a double each.
- The Firehawks left five on base.
- King notched the win improving to 9-5 on the season. She allowed one earned run on five hits.
- Sands pitched the final two frames. She allowed one earned run on a pair of hits.

UTS will close out the regular season with a four-game series with Cumberland at Royce Hughes Field. The action will begin on Friday, April 22nd at 3 pm.
