Box Score 2 Tuscaloosa, Ala. – The University of Tennessee Southern softball team dropped a pair to Stillman College on Saturday. The Firehawks fell in game one 11-2 and dropped game two 8-0.
GAME ONE
Hannah Branam reached on an error that allowed Haley Parrott to score in the first. Anisten Burleson drove in Makenzie Cain to lift the Firehawks to an early 2-0 lead.
Stillman would plate three in the first, one in the third, three in the fourth, and walk off a win scoring four in the fifth.
Jayci Boozer would be saddled with the loss. Boozer tossed four innings allowing six earned runs on nine hits. Ana Aaron would toss 0.1 innings allowing four 4 earned runs on six hits.
GAME TWO
Kamryn Murdock took the loss in game two. Murdock hurled 4.2 innings allowing eight earned runs on nine hits.
Stillman would handcuff the Firehawks at the plate in game two only allowing one hit.
NEXT UP
The Firehawks open up Mid-South Conference play traveling to Georgetown, Ky. facing the Tigers on March 3. The first pitch is scheduled for 3 pm.
