Box Score 2 MOBILE, Ala. - The University of Tennessee Southern softball team closed out their opening weekend SSAC road trip with a pair of close losses to #12 Mobile on Saturday. UM won game one 1-0 and took game two 2-0.
GAME ONE
Mobile (8-3, 3-0) scored the long run of the game in the second. UT Southern's (7-4, 0-3) Kassidy Davis and Mobile's Emily Butts both threw complete games in the pitchers dual.
Davis allowed one run on five hits.
GAME TWO
In game two, Mobile (9-3, 4-0) would sneak a run in the third and fourth. first scoring four in the opening inning.
Stella Gilbreath (2-2) got the start and pitched a complete game. She allowed two earned runs on four hits.
NEXT UP
The Firehawks will return to the friendly confines of Royce Hughes Field, hosting Oakwood on Wednesday, February 28th. The twin bill is set to start at 1p.m.
