Firehawks Announce 2026 Softball Schedule

Firehawks Gear Up for Another Postseason Push in 2026 Campaign

PULASKI, Tenn. – The University of Tennessee Southern softball program has announced its 2026 schedule, featuring a strong mix of conference and non-conference competition as the Firehawks look to build on last season's 33-win campaign and deep postseason run.

UT Southern will open the season at home on Saturday, February 7, hosting Bethel University in a doubleheader at 1 and 3 p.m. at Royce Hughes Field. The Firehawks' February slate includes road trips to Bryan College (Feb. 13) and Oakwood University (Feb. 18), while returning home to face Stillman College (Feb. 17) and Cumberland University (Feb. 21) in early non-conference matchups.

The Firehawks will travel west for a weekend in Arkansas to face Crowley's Ridge (Feb. 27) and Williams Baptist (Feb. 28) before competing in the Gulf Shores Tournament (Mar. 6–7) in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Conference play begins in mid-March, opening on the road at Faulkner University (Mar. 13) before returning home to face Brewton-Parker (Mar. 20) and Abraham Baldwin (Mar. 21). UT Southern will make the South Georgia swing with Thomas University (Mar. 27) and Point University (Mar. 28) to close out the month.

April brings a challenging mix of SSAC competition, highlighted by road series at Mobile (Apr. 2) and William Carey (Apr. 3), as well as home matchups against both programs later in the month (Mobile – Apr. 17; William Carey – Apr. 18). The Firehawks also face Blue Mountain Christian (Apr. 11, Apr. 25) in home-and-away doubleheaders.

The regular season concludes with a trip to Bethel University (Apr. 21) before postseason play begins at the SSAC Championship, set for April 30–May 2 in Decatur, Alabama.

Head Coach Murphy Davis enters her third season at the helm of the Firehawks, holding a career record of 59-43, all at UT Southern. Under Davis, the program has continued its rise within the Southern States Athletic Conference, highlighted by a third-place finish in the 2025 SSAC Championship and a run to the NAIA Regional Final.
