MURRAY, Ky. – The University of Tennessee Southern track and field teams were in action over the weekend competing in the Margaret Simmons Invite. The Firehawks event was hosted by Murray State University.
Bruno Villazon,
Jacob Sanchez,
Silas Hatton,
Kevyn Chavez, and
Frankline Kipruto highlighted the men's meet with podium finishes. Villazon placed won in the 5000 meters and finished runner up in the 1500 meters. Sanchez finished third in the javelin. Hatton placed third in the long jump. Chavez took third in the 10000 meters. Kipruto finished runner up in the 5000 meters.
