Grubbs Named to SSAC Barnes & Noble College Competitive Cheer Scholar-Athlete Team

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The SSAC announced the 2025 Barnes & Noble College Competitive Cheer Scholar-Athlete Team and Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
 
Brewton-Parker's Emma Banks was named 2025 Barnes & Noble College Competitive Cheer Scholar-Athlete of the Year. The senior leads with a 3.78 GPA as an education major. On the mat, she was named SSAC Flyer of the Year and All-Conference.

Additional Notes
  • To be eligible, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in both academic and athletic standing, must be starters or important reserves, have at least a 3.3 cumulative GPA, and have competed in 50% of competitions
  • Graduate students are not eligible, and transfers must have completed one semester at the school
  • All athletes on the team posted a 3.5 GPA or better, with Banks (3.78) and Grubbs (3.62) leading the way
  • All seven on the honorary squad earned All-Conference honors
