OXFORD, Ala. – The UT Southern women's cross country team turned in a strong performance Friday evening at the JSU Foothills Invitational, finishing 8th out of 21 teams in a highly competitive field featuring multiple NCAA Division I programs.
Freshman Linah Ewoi paced the Firehawks, finishing 32nd overall with a time of 19:07.88, the fastest among all Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) runners in the race. Her effort helped lead UT Southern to a team average of 19:57 for the 5K course.
The Firehawks also had strong finishes from Alyssa Andrea (19:57.54, 46th), Claire Deaton (19:58.89, 47th), Lou-Anne Bernard (20:11.87, 49th), and Emma Vizina (20:27.27, 54th).
