FLORENCE, Ala. – The UT Southern women's cross country team turned in a strong performance at the North Alabama Invitational, placing seventh overall in a highly competitive 13-team field that featured a mix of NCAA Division I, Division II, and top NAIA programs.
Freshman Linah Ewoi paced the Firehawks with an impressive 18th-place finish, crossing the line in 19:16.68. Junior Claire Deaton followed closely, finishing 30th at 19:44.37, while fellow junior Alyssa Andrea secured 32nd with a time of 19:52.27. Senior Emma Vizina ran a solid race to place 42nd in 20:20.93, and sophomore Lauren Hallmark rounded out the Firehawks' top five with a 68th-place finish in 22:13.16.
Senior Amelia Worsley and senior Neidyn Lopez-Hernandez also contributed as UT Southern's sixth and seventh runners, finishing 70th and 76th, respectively.
