- 1976-84: Men's Head Basketball Coach at Martin Methodist College, (TN); Eight consecutive winning seasons; 147 victories ; Lead team to one co-divisional title; Qualified for post season play (NJCAA-Region VII - TN,MS,KY) five times; Region VII semi-finalists two times

- 1984: TJCAA Western Division Coach of the Year

- 1972-75: Coached basketball and football at Cross Keys High School, Atlanta, Ga.

- 1975-76: Graduate assistant basketball coach at Georgia Southern University, (GA)

- 1984-87: Men's Head Basketball Coach at Cleveland State Community College, (TN); Three consecutive winning seasons and a record of 58-25: Three best records at CSCC since 1971; School record of 22 wins for the 1987 season; School's first Eastern Division Championship and state runner-up; First ever national ranking in 1985; 1985 TJCAA Eastern Division Coach of theYear

- Nominated for the Tennessee Junior and Community College Sports Hall of Fame.
