MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The University of Tennessee Southern men's tennis team has been selected fourth in the 2027 Southern States Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Coaches' Preseason Poll, as announced by the conference office.
The Firehawks earned 24 points in the voting, placing ahead of Mobile, Abraham Baldwin and Blue Mountain in the seven-team league. Defending conference champion William Carey was the unanimous choice to finish first, collecting all seven first-place votes, while Xavier was selected second and Loyola third.
UT Southern enters the season positioned among the conference contenders and will look to build on that momentum as conference play approaches.

The 2027 SSAC Men's and Women's Tennis Championships are scheduled for April 14-17 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Alabama, with all seven conference programs qualifying for the postseason tournament.
