RedHawks Win 4-3 over IU-Kokomo

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Mid-South Conference officials released the 2020-21 MSC Women's Tennis Tournament bracket on Tuesday, following the conclusion of the conference's regular season.

MMC closed out the regular season on Monday with a 4-3 win over Indiana University-Kokomo while celebrating Senior Day. Margaret Lucas (SO/Decatur, Alabama) had a stand out performance at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-1 win, and a come-from-behind doubles win, 6-4, with Abbey Rumble (FR/Melbourne, Australia) at the No. 2 position.

"It was a testament to our team's mental strength today after losing the first double point, and being down 0-2, that our girls were able to win four straight matches to seal the win," said head coach Bill Riddle.

The tournament is slated to begin with three opening round matches on Thursday afternoon in Owensboro, Kentucky. Martin Methodist is the No. 9 seed, and is slated to take on No. 8 seed Pikeville.

The 2020-21 MSC Women's Tennis Tournament champion earns the conference's automatic bid into the NAIA National Tournament.
