MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced its weekly cross country honors, and UT Southern freshman Linah Ewoi has been named the SSAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for her performance during the week of Sept. 1–7.
This marks Ewoi's second career SSAC weekly honor and first of the 2025 season. The freshman standout from Kitale, Kenya, turned in an impressive performance at the North Alabama Invitational, finishing 18th overall in a field of 112 runners. Facing a highly competitive field filled with several NCAA Division I programs, Ewoi posted a 5K time of 19:16 to lead the Firehawks.
