MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the 2026 SSAC Men's and Women's Tennis Players of the Week for the week of Feb. 23 – March 1, with UT Southern's Gaspar Audisio earning SSAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week honors.

Audisio, a senior from Reconquista, Argentina, collects his second career weekly honor after a perfect 4-0 individual performance as the Firehawks split matches against Indiana Wesleyan and No. 13 Morningside.

Competing at the bottom of the singles lineup, Audisio delivered a key 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 6 singles against nationally ranked Morningside. He also partnered for a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles in the same match, helping UT Southern secure the doubles point against the Mustangs.

Audisio's strong weekend performance included wins in both singles and doubles play against Indiana Wesleyan, continuing to provide depth and consistency for the No. 22 Firehawks.

With the honor, Audisio becomes the second Firehawk to earn SSAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week this season, joining teammate Luis Guilherme Cupertino de Santana, who earned the award earlier this spring.

UT Southern continues its season this week as the Firehawks prepare for upcoming conference action.
